You cannot describe what God is. You can only describe of God is not. Is it in accurate to say that God is not anything? God is that which remains after enumerating all possible words, in all possible combinations.
Maimonides (12th century) was the most influential medieval Jewish exponent of the via negativa. As to God's essence, the only way to describe it is negatively. For instance, He is not physical, nor bound by time, nor subject to change, etc.
- God is not evil
- God is not good
- God is not agf89ato8egljkbvlkj
